.jpg','Heading to the lagoon','Topography: Further inland is extensive low land savannah of Wild grass dwarf mangrove, but dotted with high ground mounds of 1 to 5 acres mostly made by the Mayas and they are called Mayan Islas. There are also 3 shallow lagoons, covering most of the width of the property near the beach coast, which would be ideal for marinas or water front lots. 3,587 Acres at Punta Chital Southern beaches are mineral sand while northern beaches like this one has coral sand. From the Mountains there flows underground fresh water that pours underground into the sea. These fresh water springs comes out from the seabeds. Manatees drink from these springs. There are 52 trained tour guides in Sarteneja and they bring tourists to come see these manatees feed and drink. In the ponds there are coral pieces mixed with pieces of shells. This is known as shale (oil can be extracted in the future from this sediment). '))
